Purchaser/Buyer
We are currently seeking a Purchaser/Buyer for a full-time permanent position, based in Cork.
As a Buyer, you will play a crucial role in the procurement process, responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, goods, and services for our
company. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional negotiation skills, market knowledge, and the ability to build strong supplier relationships.
The role will entail:
Source and purchase construction materials, tools, and services, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms, and manage contracts.
Track procurement costs, monitor expenses, and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
Coordinate timely material deliveries and manage on-site inventory to avoid delays.
Work closely with project managers and site teams to ensure material needs align with project schedules.
Ensure all procurement activities comply with regulations and sustainability goals.
The Candidate:
Proven experience as a Buyer or similar role, with experience in procurement and supply chain management.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
Solid understanding of sourcing strategies, contract management, and purchasing best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organisation.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards in the procurement field.

Experience:
