Project Safety Officer

We are currently seeking a Safety Officer for a full-time permanent position in the Munster region.

The role will entail:
Ensuring effective implementation of company H&S policies and procedures in the company offices & on projects.
Carrying out regular health and safety inspections.
Providing support and advice to staff, site supervisors and site operatives.
Inspecting documents and records relating to safety.
Reviewing risk assessments and method statements.
Communicating safety issues with the project team and other stakeholders.
Conducting onsite training, briefings and toolbox talks.
Liaising with Sorensen client teams for all safety matters.
Managing our internal management system.
Preparing the company for various accreditation audits.

The Candidate:
Must hold a third level health & safety qualification.
Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in H&S supervision in the construction industry
Preferably will have 3+ years in the civil engineering sector.
Must have good oral and written communication capabilities.
Must have a full driving license.
