This well-established, prestigious, family run building contractor specialises in renovation, extension and refurbishments of period and bespoke one-off properties.

They have a requirement for a Project Manager to take ownership of a phase of works on one of their most prestigious high-end residential projects in the South East. You will be working with a Quantity Surveyor and Site Manager and will be reporting to the site-based Project Director.

The project itself is a major refurbishment of a 17th Century private country estate of approximately 2000 acres. There are multiple high-value projects happening simultaneously under one contract including the refurbishment of a Grade II listed property, restoration and alteration of a Grade II listed courtyard, restoration of historic horse stalls and a new events space, staff accommodation and heavy landscaping.

Duties:
•    Directing and coordinating all project activities
•    Setting, reviewing, and implementing project strategy.
•    Utilizing Project Commander software for programming, reporting, and delay analysis.
•    Overseeing people management, including team leadership, recruitment, and client expectations.
•    Understanding JCT contracts, managing notifications, claims, and disputes.
•    Proactively working with commercial team members, overseeing procurement processes, and ensuring accurate reporting.
•    Proactively managing all aspects of SHE on-site, ensuring compliance with regulations.
•    Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of compliance matters and utilizing company processes and systems

Key Skills:
•    Managed projects valued between £2M and £6M.
•    Understanding and managing complex project information.
•    Technical and construction knowledge, including contemporary and traditional construction methods, conservation, listed buildings, basements, and RC substructures.
•    Competency in IT software packages, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Project, and PDF editing.

This is a permanent role  and will suit candidates who can demonstrate longevity working for a similar high end / luxury residential contractor.

This role can also be called site manager, construction manager, Contracts Manager and senior site manager.
